LEG KIT

The leg kit for falconry comprises a battery cover adapted to the leg attachment and the bewit to attach the transmitter to the animal’s leg.

Characteristics:
The leg-mounted system is easiest as it allows easier handling when attaching the transmitter to the bird. Additionally, birds are normally used to wearing items on their legs such as bells or jesses, and will not identify the transmitter as an unfamiliar object.
The fact that the transmitter is leg mounted makes it easy for the bird to reach, so the bird may bite and bend the antenna. The antenna can easily be replaced should this occur.

TAIL KIT

The tail kit for falconry comprises the battery cover adapted to the tail attachment, the clip holding the transmitter and the attachment to the tail feather.

Characteristics:
The tail-mounted system is out the bird’s reach so it better protected from biting.
The antenna is also always placed higher than on the leg, helping us with the search if the animal is on the ground.
As the transmitter is fixed on one of the deck feathers ,this is a difficult operation with sensitive birds. Later on, when the fixation is already on the feather the operation is much easier since it is just a question of inserting the clip.

PINCERS

Needed to harmlessly fit the attachment to the feather.

SPARE ANTENNAS

Spare antennas are used to replace those broken or damaged by the bird.
The simple screw method makes it easy to replace them quickly without affecting the performance of the transmitter.

TRANSMITTER BATTERIES
