The receiver can incorporate external antennas that can improve range in extreme conditions. 40 cm. long and 9 cm. at the base, this practical antenna is used to track from inside a vehicle. On long-distance searches it can be very helpful to use a car with the omni-directional antenna. Using this option allows you to drive until you hear a signal, then leave the car to follow the signal.
CAR ADAPTOR
The receiver includes an adaptor for the car lighter. This option allows the receiver to run on the car battery without running down the standard equipment batteries. This does NOT mean that the batteries will be recharged, only that they will last longer when an alternative power supply is used.
WATERPROOF POUCH
This waterproof housing for the receiver acts both as protection against external damage and as a carrying pouch. It has an adaptable Velcro band to adapt it to a belt and for easy carrying.
CARRYING CASE
The carrying case helps transport all the equipment safely whatever its application. Its internal foam lining allows transmitters, receivers, batteries and accessories to be packed safely within. BATTERIES
The R1 TinyLoc receiver works with four standard 1.5 V AA batteries . Do not use rechargeable batteries as this will considerably reduce performance. The battery cap is unscrewed using a screwdriver.
