Range The F22 transmitter range is as follows:
From 15km. to 28 km. (8 to 17 miles) for ground searches
From 28km. to 50 km. (17 to 31 miles) for searches at heights of 3-4 metres
From 50 km. to 80 km. (31 to 50 miles) from mountaintops
Battery life
The F22 transmitter uses a 1/3N battery with a 15-day life. The battery-life detector emits a double beep four days before the battery runs out.
Weight
The transmitter weighs 9 grams (31 ounces) when leg mounted and 9,7 grams (34 ounces) when tail mounted.
Other characteristics
The F22 transmitter has a luminous LED that shows when the transmitter is on without turning on the receiver, which can be very helpful on night searches.
The F22 is the most powerful transmitter on the market. Its tubular shape and screw cap allows leg and tail use according to owner’s needs. It can be switched off by slightly unscrewing the cap.
